Barranquilla, Colombia – May 2nd, 2025 – Telconet Latam has selected Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, to design and build the new Landing Station for the CSN-1 submarine cable in Playa Salgar, near Barranquilla, Colombia.
The station will be constructed with Vertiv’s advanced modular technology, significantly accelerating construction and commissioning timelines.

The new Landing Station in Barranquilla will offer local connectivity and the typical Edge Data Center services like allocation of high-density service hosting, efficient data traffic management, and energy redundancy. This will help meet the growing demand for digital services in the region.
With the arrival of CSN-1 in Barranquilla, Telconet adds a second submarine connection in Colombia. The company already has international capacity via the PCCS (Pacific Caribbean Cable System) which lands in Cartagena, where Telconet is one of its founding partners.
